About The Position
International Paper is seeking an Electrician-Mechanic for their Northlake Container Facility. This is a full-time hourly position with a pay rate of $49.83. The role involves troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring equipment operates at maximum capacity, and adhering to safety protocols. Candidates must be willing to work various shifts, including weekends and overtime, and pass an advanced industrial skills and instrumentation/electrician knowledge test.

Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot programmable controllers and A/C and D/C drives.
- Make necessary repairs to drive and their control system use.
- Maximize the utilization of equipment by maintaining the machinery to run at available capacity and speed.
- Read electrical block diagrams and schematics.
- Follow all safety rules and practices.
- Maintain teamwork with other associates.
- Perform electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and other repairs and installations as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
