About The Position

PCSI is seeking an Electrician for our Ft. Knox, Kentucky contract. This role involves performing electrical installation, maintenance, and repair of facility electrical systems. The Electrician will install, inspect, adjust, test, maintain, and repair electrical wiring systems, related switches, distribution panels, outlet boxes, and a wide variety of electrical fixtures. This position reports to the Electrical Supervisor and is based out of Ft. Knox, Kentucky. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm. Requirements

  • High school graduate and/or GED equivalent required.
  • Must have working knowledge of all national and local electrical codes.
  • Must have experience in installation, troubleshooting, testing, repair and maintenance of all electrical systems and devices including low and high voltage systems located on Fort Knox.
  • Must have the ability to effectively read, write, and speak the English language.
  • Ability to pass criminal, drug, and driving screening.
  • Possess valid Kentucky State driver’s license and maintain good driving record.
  • If required, ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and base access to assigned site(s).

Nice To Haves

  • Journeyman license strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs electrical installation, maintenance and repair of facility electrical systems.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair activities in support of facility goals.
  • Assists area personnel and completes special assignments as needed.
  • Installs, inspects, adjusts, test, maintains and repairs electrical wiring systems, related switches, distribution panels and outlet boxes and a wide variety of electrical fixtures.
  • Maintains and repairs electrical equipment including electrical switch boxes, lighting circuits, branch and transfer circuits, HVAC fans and switches, and related shop equipment.
  • Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles and installs conduit, inserts, splicing and connecting wire to fixtures, outlets, switches receptacles and power sources.
  • Responsible for all work orders scheduled and assigned by the Electrical Supervisor and PMO Supervisor.
  • Responsible for emergency after hour calls determined by the Electrical Supervisor.
