About The Position

This position at Pilgrim's is for a Maintenance Electrician working on an hourly basis. The company emphasizes safety as a condition of employment. The role involves troubleshooting electrical systems throughout the plant, performing preventive maintenance on electrical equipment, assisting with the implementation of new control systems, and researching/developing improved electrical controls and processes. The electrician will also track recurring electrical issues, identify equipment weaknesses, and train operators/technicians on equipment functionality and troubleshooting. Support for maintenance personnel to ensure efficient production operations is also a key responsibility, along with performing other duties as assigned by a supervisor.

Requirements

  • Electrical experience required
  • Minimum of 3-5 years industrial electrical experience preferred
  • Knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment and mechanical systems
  • General math skills required to perform maintenance duties
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, drawings, schematics
  • Basic knowledge of standard and metric measurements
  • Ability to work assigned shifts, including weekends as needed
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in extreme Cold/Hot temperatures
  • Ability to stand and use hands for 8-11 hours per day
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs or more
  • Verification of employment eligibility must be documented for all new employees by the end of the third day of work.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma/GED preferred
  • Additional electrical certifications (technical college or manufacturing certifications) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot electrical systems throughout the plant

  • Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor
