This role is for an Electrician Journeyperson within our construction division, offering opportunities for career growth and development.

Requirements

  • Completion of a 4-year apprenticeship program.
  • 6-10 years of working experience in the field.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Ability to work as a journeyperson to foreperson.

Responsibilities

  • Complete a 4-year apprenticeship program.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical issues such as faulty wiring, malfunctioning circuits, and equipment failure.
  • Install, replace, and repair electrical systems, lighting fixtures, and electrical control and distribution equipment (e.g., switches, relays, circuit breaker panels), including energy-efficient systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new or existing installations, including in-slab installations.
  • Pull wire through conduits and holes in walls and floors.
  • Splice, join, and connect wire to fixtures and components to form circuits.
  • Install brackets and hangers to support electrical equipment.
  • Test circuit continuity using test equipment to ensure system compatibility and safety after installation, replacement, or repair.
  • Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems, and remove/replace faulty components.
  • Connect electrical power to audio and visual communication equipment, signaling devices, and heating and cooling systems.
  • Plan and execute electrical installations, including EMT and conduit work.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance programs and maintain maintenance records.
  • Support the growth and development of company culture.
  • Perform other duties as required.
