About The Position

Lincoln Tech is seeking licensed E1 and E2 electricians to teach part time in its Electrical Systems program in New Britain, Connecticut. Instructors deliver practical training in Electrical and Electronics Systems in a fully equipped facility and teach Lincoln Tech’s accredited curriculum. They help students understand electrical systems, safety procedures, and industry regulations, while supporting students’ professionalism, accountability, and development. Instructors assess and communicate student progress and prepare students with the skills and knowledge to pursue careers in the electrical and electronics systems industry. Teaching experience is not required; Lincoln Tech supports industry experts transitioning into teaching roles. The schedule offers a two- or four-evening part-time work week.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience as a licensed electrician in a residential, commercial, or industrial setting.
A current E1 or E2 license.
Experience installing and servicing electrical equipment.
Understanding of single-phase and three-phase electrical systems.
Knowledge of electrical codes.
High school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

Teaching experience.
Knowledge of or experience with motor controls, lighting controls, or solar systems.
Experience or knowledge of low-voltage systems.
