This role is responsible for supporting maintenance operations in a refrigeration manufacturing organization.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Automated Systems, or Industrial Maintenance required or 2+ years Industrial Maintenance experience
  • Working knowledge of computer systems including MS Office
  • Ability to bend, stoop, stand, and kneel for extended periods of time

  • Physically capable of working in a fast-paced, stop-and-go manufacturing environment

  • Previous experience in manufacturing material handling or similar industrial environments
  • Knowledge of parts and materials required for production operations.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to make quick decisions in support of a process-oriented operation

Responsibilities

  • Promote a safe, clean, organized working environment for all employees and always wear proper PPE
  • Conduct repairs and preventative maintenance on all Carrier equipment as needed
  • Improve production equipment up-time by ensuring reliability and repeatability so that all equipment can produce quality product
  • Responsible for servicing all types of mechanical and electrical devices including analog and digital circuits, AC & DC Drives, and PLC’s with their associated control networks.
  • Practical working knowledge of machine shop tools, welding and fabrication equipment.
  • Power transmission, motor, gearbox, couplings and driveshafts
  • Existing equipment upgrades and new equipment installations
  • Collaborate to reduce the cost of equipment part inventories and help ensure correct levels of critical spares
  • Work with others to operate as a productive and efficient team
