Repairs, installs, replaces and tests electrical circuits, equipment and appliances using hand tools and testing instruments to supply electrical power for lighting, equipment and machine operations Impact of the Role General Profile Requires basic skills in an analytical or scientific method or operational process Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines Works with close supervision Performs manual tasks according to established procedures

Requirements

• Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 1-2 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
• Electrical Wiring Installation.
• Install Electrical Services.
• Reading Blueprints/Diagrams.
• Safety Inspections.
• Troubleshooting Electrical Codes
• Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
• Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
• May need to stand for long periods of time.
• Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
• May be requested to work a different shift.
• Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required
• This position is Safety-Sensitive.

• Discipline/Major: Technical training preferred
• Typically requires an Electrician's license granted by state

Responsibilities

• Inspects, repairs, installs, and maintains electrical systems, machinery, and equipment.
• Ensures all work performed meets required safety codes and is properly inspected.
• Uses a variety of tools and equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment.
• Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
• Inspects electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed.
• Replaces conduit, wiring and circuit breakers as needed.
