About The Position

Repairs, installs, replaces and tests electrical circuits, equipment and appliances using hand tools and testing instruments to supply electrical power for lighting, equipment and machine operations. This role requires basic skills in an analytical or scientific method or operational process, working within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods, adhering to quality guidelines, and performing manual tasks according to established procedures with close supervision.

Requirements

Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 1-2 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
Electrical Wiring Installation
Install Electrical Services
Reading Blueprints/Diagrams
Safety Inspections
Troubleshooting Electrical Codes
Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
May need to stand for long periods of time.
Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
Must be willing to work a different shift.
Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required

Nice To Haves

Associate's Degree Discipline/Major: Technical training preferred
Electrician's license granted by state

Responsibilities

Inspects, repairs, installs, and maintains electrical systems, machinery, and equipment.
Ensures all work performed meets required safety codes and is properly inspected.
Uses a variety of tools and equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment.
Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
Inspects electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed.
Replaces conduit, wiring and circuit breakers as needed.
