About The Position

American Crane & Equipment Corporation (ACECO) is seeking an Industrial Electrician (Electrician II) to join our Manufacturing team. This role is ideal for a strong, hands-on electrician who can work independently on standard tasks while continuing to build expertise on more complex systems. You’ll work on custom crane and hoist equipment where quality, safety, and craftsmanship matter every day.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (required)
  • 3–5+ years of industrial or heavy equipment electrical experience
  • Experience with electrical installations in manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Hands-on experience with control panel wiring and conduit installation
  • Developing troubleshooting skills with ability to solve standard electrical issues
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Safety-first mindset and willingness to follow established procedures

  • Authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
  • Ability to verify identity and employment authorization (Form I-9)

  • Ability to operate or work around forklifts, aerial lifts, and overhead cranes
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, reach, and work on your feet for extended periods

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of an electrical apprenticeship or technical training (preferred)
  • State electrician license preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical installations on overhead cranes and hoist systems
  • Build and wire control panels, motors, push-button stations, and festoon systems
  • Bend, thread, and install conduit in accordance with design specifications
  • Assist with fabrication and installation of electrical supports and components
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical issues with guidance as needed
  • Apply electrical theory and practical troubleshooting techniques
  • Work with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to resolve build issues
  • Follow NEC, OSHA, and company safety standards
  • Assist with equipment testing and verification prior to release
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
  • Work alongside Electrician I and III team members to complete projects
  • Support team productivity and share knowledge as experience grows
  • Take direction on complex work while building independent capability
