About The Position

This role involves assisting skilled staff with the timely and accurate completion of work orders and instructions provided by the Foreman. Responsibilities include retrieving materials, maintaining and installing electrical equipment according to codes, responding to service desk calls, assisting with building maintenance tasks, and ensuring the organization and cleanliness of electrical storage areas and tools. The position requires knowledge of basic hand tools and power equipment, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions to ensure a safe and effective workplace.

Responsibilities

• Assist skilled staff with timely and accurate completion of all work orders and/or instructions provided by the Foreman.
• Retrieve material for journeyman or skilled mechanic required to complete work assignments.
• Maintain, repair and install all electrical equipment in accordance with industry guidelines, local and national codes.
• Answer and respond to service desk calls as necessary.
• Assist with boot layouts, moving of protective floor covering and other materials, and the installation of overhead power drops.
• Assist in routine building maintenance such as changing light bulbs, cleaning of electrical equipment, and inventory control.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of all electrical storage units, tools, materials, and warehouse areas.
• Examine electrical units and notify supervisor of any equipment in need of replacement or repair.
