About The Position

This role involves assisting skilled electricians with various tasks to ensure the timely and accurate completion of electrical work orders. Responsibilities include retrieving materials, performing maintenance and installations according to codes, responding to service calls, and assisting with building maintenance and inventory control. The position requires knowledge of basic tools and the ability to follow detailed instructions for a safe and effective workplace.

Requirements

• Possess knowledge of basic hand tools and power equipment.
• Familiarity with use of basic hand tools.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Detail oriented.
• Ability to comply and follow detailed instructions in order to ensure a safe and effective workplace.

Responsibilities

• Assist skilled staff with timely and accurate completion of all work orders and/or instructions provided by the Foreman.
• Retrieve material for journeyman or skilled mechanic required to complete work assignments.
• Maintain, repair and install all electrical equipment in accordance with industry guidelines, local and national codes.
• Answer and respond to service desk calls as necessary.
• Assist with boot layouts, moving of protective floor covering and other materials, and the installation of overhead power drops.
• Assist in routine building maintenance such as changing light bulbs, cleaning of electrical equipment, and inventory control.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of all electrical storage units, tools, materials, and warehouse areas.
• Examine electrical units and notify supervisor of any equipment in need of replacement or repair.
