About The Position

Global – a 1st Flagship Company, a woman-owned small business, is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Electrician Helper to support their Maintenance team in Pearl Harbor. The company is committed to Individual Accountability, Growth, Integrity, and Respect, and provides critical marine support services to the U.S. Navy, managing and maintaining the Inactive Ship fleet.

Requirements

  • One (1) year of relevant electrical experience in a shipyard, industrial, or similar environment, or experience gained through military service.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems and safety practices, including working around energized equipment.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 60 pounds and working at heights or in confined spaces.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow direction from supervisors.
  • Strong attention to safety, reliability, and work ethic.
  • Must be able to pass an extensive background check.
  • Ability to work outdoors for extended periods (up to 75%) in varying conditions.
  • Ability to safely operate power tools and basic electrical testing equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting marine or shipboard electrical work.
  • Completion of vocational or technical electrical training.
  • Two (2) years of shipyard or industrial electrical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems supporting inactive naval vessels, including shore power connections.
  • Support installation of fire and flood alarm systems, dehumidification systems, and cathodic protection systems.
  • Handle and stage tools, materials, and equipment required for electrical work.
  • Follow all safety procedures and electrical hazard precautions, including working around energized equipment.
  • Assist with vessel arrival, mooring, and departure operations as needed.
  • Work with electricians and other trades to support safe and efficient maintenance operations.
  • Perform physically demanding work, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined or elevated spaces.
  • Support use of basic electrical testing equipment and maintain tools.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and core values.
  • Work overtime or travel (up to 25%) as required to support operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of site operations.
