About The Position

Anoka Technical College is seeking a full-time instructor to join our thriving Construction Electrician program. The core responsibilities of this role include instructing students across a variety of electrical subjects within the established curriculum. Additionally, the instructor will help develop and revise curriculum materials to ensure they remain up-to-date and in line with industry standards. This position also involves providing constructive feedback to students and assessing their competencies. Another key component of the role requires staying current with technical knowledge in the field through participation in professional development activities and engagement with professional organizations and an advisory committee. Requirements

  • Two-year diploma in an electrician program or completion of a registered electrician apprenticeship program.
  • Four full-time (or equivalent) years of verified related paid work experience as a licensed electrician in residential and commercial.
  • One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
  • State of Minnesota Class A Journeyman Electrician License
