About The Position

The Electrician Craftsman 1 plans, lays out, installs, tests, and repairs wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, motors, equipment, and control systems in accordance with applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. The role involves troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems, working with high- and low-voltage systems, and operating electrical and mechanical tools.

Requirements

May require a high school diploma or equivalent, along with prior years of experience in the field or a related area.
Working knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
Ability to understand, follow, and communicate written and oral instructions effectively with management and supervision.
Ability to use hand, power, and layout tools safely and efficiently.
Able to meet all physical requirements.
Must have all required tools.
Able to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces, which may exceed 200 feet.
Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by workload.

Responsibilities

Interpret drawings, sketches, software, and plans; determine appropriate procedures, tools, and equipment to troubleshoot and repair problems.
Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit; weld supports; install cable and duct banks; and make terminations.
Install and secure control and distribution apparatus.
Test and start up systems and check circuit continuity to ensure electrical compatibility and component safety.
Observe installed equipment and systems to identify hazards or the need for adjustment, relocation, or replacement.
Pull wire through conduit and connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment as required.
Work with high- and low-voltage systems.
Disassemble and repair defective electrical equipment or systems.
Operate electrical and mechanical hand tools, power tools, and hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical tools.
Observe and comply with safety and project rules; perform other duties as required.
