About The Position

Plan, lay out, install, test, and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, motors, equipment, and control systems in accordance with applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. The role involves working with high- and low-voltage systems and using electrical and mechanical hand tools, as well as power, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical tools.

Requirements

May require a high school diploma or equivalent, with previous experience in the field or a related area.
Working knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management and supervision.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and layout tools safely and efficiently.
Able to meet all physical requirements.
Must have all required tools.
Able to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces, which may exceed 200 feet.
Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by workload.

Responsibilities

Interpret drawings, sketches, software, and plans; determine suitable work procedures and tools and equipment for troubleshooting and repairs.
Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit; weld supports; install cable and duct banks; and make terminations.
Install control and distribution apparatus and fasten it in place.
Test and start up systems and check circuit continuity to ensure electrical compatibility and component safety.
Observe installed equipment or systems in operation to identify hazards and determine whether adjustments, relocation, or replacement are needed.
Pull wire through conduit when required and connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment.
Work with high- and low-voltage systems.
Disassemble and repair defective electrical equipment or systems.
Operate electrical and mechanical hand tools, power tools, and hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical tools.
Observe and comply with safety and project rules; perform other duties as required.
