About The Position

Plan, lay out, install, test, and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, motors, equipment, and control systems in accordance with applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. The role is classified as intermediate experience level.

Requirements

May require a high school diploma or equivalent, along with previous years of experience in the field or a related area.
Possess working knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
Understand, follow, and communicate written and oral instructions effectively with management and supervision.
Use hand tools, power tools, and layout tools safely and efficiently.
Meet all physical requirements.
Have all required tools.
Be able to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces, potentially exceeding 200 feet.
Be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Be able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by workload.

Responsibilities

Interpret drawings, sketches, software, and plans, and determine suitable work procedures and tools and equipment needed to troubleshoot and repair problems.
Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit; weld supports; install cable and duct banks; and make terminations.
Install control and distribution apparatus and fasten it in place.
Test and start up systems and check circuit continuity to ensure electrical compatibility and component safety.
Observe the functioning of installed equipment or systems to identify hazards and determine whether adjustments, relocation, or replacement are needed.
Pull wire through conduit and connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment as required.
Work with high- and low-voltage systems.
Disassemble and repair defective electrical equipment or systems.
Operate electrical and mechanical hand tools, power tools, and hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical tools.
Observe and comply with safety and project rules; perform other duties as required.
