This position is for a Certified Electrician at Karmax Heavy Stamping, responsible for repairing and troubleshooting equipment and machinery efficiently, safely, and in accordance with electrical codes. The role involves working with various industrial equipment and contributing to continuous improvement and workplace safety within a culture that values diversity, health, and employee development.

Requirements

  • Certified Electrician (442A)
  • Minimum five years’ experience in an industrial environment preferably in automotive or fast paced environment.
  • Physically capable of performing essential duties of the job.
  • Working with heights and confine space.
  • Previous experience with stamping presses, Industrial robots, Mig welders and Laser cutting operation.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills and is results oriented.
  • Has an exemplary attitude towards housekeeping, safety, and company policies.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and workplace safety.
  • Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • To repair and troubleshoot equipment and machinery efficiently, safely and in accordance with the electrical codes.
  • Understands and reads all schematics and drawings associated with the trade.
  • Build new machinery and equipment with minimum supervision.
  • Troubleshoots active and new machinery and equipment with minimum supervision.
  • Committed to continuous improvement on machinery, equipment, processes, and PM system.
  • Basic PLC and troubleshooting.
  • Trains apprentices in all aspects of machine and equipment, repair, and safety.
  • Able to use all equipment and machinery related to the trade requirements.
  • Meets schedules set by Maintenance Team leaders.
  • Work within the guidelines of the Deco Employee Handbook.
  • IATF16949 & ISO14001 awareness and adherence.
  • Accepts personal responsibility to plan and conduct their work safely in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act as well as company policies and guidelines.
  • Responsible for Good House Keeping in your area.
