The Electrician Apprentice is responsible for installation and repair of automated industrial control equipment. This role involves installing and maintaining industrial control equipment and instrumentation such as loop controllers, variable frequency drives, solid state reduced voltage starters, level controls, ethernet motor control centers, belt scales, and control panels. The apprentice will need a thorough understanding of electrical systems, including the installation and repair of electric motors and equipment (120, 240 and 480V). They will also be expected to have knowledge of basic hand tools and machine shop equipment, and the proper use of all electrical test equipment for electrical/electronic repairs of production equipment. The role includes completing scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, documenting finished work, and potentially driving a maintenance vehicle to pick up parts. Other duties as assigned may also be part of the role.
