About The Position

Parsons is seeking an Air Traffic Systems Electrician to perform installation of communications systems and automation systems at FAA facilities across the United States National Air Space (NAS). This role is part of the T5 Program, a contract supporting the FAA's Capital Investment Plan, NextGen Program, national security programs, and aviation safety. The work involves site selection, engineering, construction, equipment installation and testing, and other technical services across various FAA regions and territories. The position requires 100% travel throughout the United States and its territories.

Requirements

  • Must be a licensed electrician.
  • 4+ years of experience.
  • Extensive experience with above and below ground electrical installations, duct banks, manholes, steel racks, towers and poles, surveying, concrete work, excavation equipment operations, and airfield systems.
  • Familiarity with construction quality and safety best practices.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and implement project drawings, specifications, client orders, and standards.
  • Experience with the use of electrical and electronics test equipment.
  • 100% travel is required throughout the United States, its territories and possessions, and anywhere federally owned and operated air traffic equipment is operated.
  • Must pass government background check to qualify.
  • Must be able to pass fleet driver motor vehicle history check as well as DOT physical requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 30 training preferred.
  • Terrific customer service skills – a history of working directly with customers and site owners.
  • Computer skills – experience working with Microsoft Office for daily and weekly reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform installation of communications systems and automation systems at FAA facilities.
  • Complete projects on airports and at remote facilities in various environments, establishing new or upgrading existing systems.
  • Involve electrical systems installation, civil construction tasks, and electrical equipment installation tasks.
  • Work as part of a construction and installation crew installing new or upgrading existing equipment and systems such as communications systems and automation systems.
