Electrical Wire Design Engineer (Associate or Experienced)
About The Position
The Boeing Company, specifically Boeing Commercial Airlines (BCA) in the 787 Wire Design organization, is seeking an Electrical Wire Design Engineer (Associate or Experienced) in North Charleston, SC. This role will contribute to defining future 787 Commercial customer introduction configurations within the wire design team. Boeing South Carolina is the manufacturing site for the 787 Dreamliner, a family of aircraft known for its industry-leading technology that enhances the air travel experience with increased comfort and reduced fatigue. The team collaborates to build aircraft embodying safety, quality, and integrity, and is looking for motivated candidates with strong knowledge of detailed wire components, interface control documents, and wire type and gauge requirements for specific commodity circuits. This position offers an opportunity to learn about the people and cutting-edge products shaping the future of air travel.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
- 2 or more years’ related work experience.
- 2 or more years’ of experience in an engineering role.

Responsibilities
- Experience in Electrical system architecture design, wiring design, harness design is required.
- Generate and maintain wire diagrams for released designs.
- Develop wire design work statements for new design implementation.
- Utilize process documents, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities.
- Work under general direction of lead Engineer and an expert mentor to enhance both technical learning and career growth.
