About The Position

Intuitive Machines is seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Vehicle Engineer for its Electrical Vehicle Engineering team in Palo Alto, California. The role supports integration and testing of flight-critical electrical systems, wire harnesses, and avionics components for advanced spacecraft. The engineer leads an electrical team and works with senior engineering staff to ensure vehicle system functionality and flight readiness. The position is performed in the Palo Alto office five days per week and may require working various shifts based on business needs, including leadership of electrical test operations running three shifts, seven days per week. Travel to the Launch Base is required to conduct final spacecraft checkout before launch. The role includes defining test environments and equipment requirements, coordinating test hardware design and setup, preparing diagnostic programs and procedures, supporting spacecraft subsystem integration, and designing and maintaining engineering documentation. The engineer supports functional and environmental test campaigns, initially reviews tests performed during spacecraft build, and provides first-line debugging and coordination of electrical anomaly resolution. The minimum qualifications include U.S. citizenship or permanent residency, a bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline or four additional years of experience in lieu of a degree, at least two years of related experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. The California base salary range is $82,000 to $136,000 annually. Eligible employees receive paid time off, health and welfare insurance, and a 401(k).
