About The Position
Our Electrical Instructor support Amteck's commitment to employee development by delivering technical and professional training across the organization. This role provides classroom instruction, field-based training, and curriculum support while helping employees and apprentices develop the skills needed for long-term success. The Electrical Instructor serves as a resource for apprentices, collaborates with field leadership to identify training needs, and helps ensure training programs align with Amteck's operational goals and core values.
Requirements
- Ability to travel frequently between job sites and offices.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the electrical construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Passion for teaching, mentoring, and developing others.
Nice To Haves
- Experience delivering training, mentoring, or instructional content preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging classroom and field-based training.
- Teach National Electrical Code (NEC), electrical theory, and hands-on skills labs.
- Support apprentices through instruction, mentoring, feedback, and performance documentation.
- Facilitate study groups, review sessions, and test preparation workshops.
- Assist with the development and improvement of training materials and curriculum.
- Travel to project sites and regional offices to provide training and support employee development.
- Collaborate with field leaders to identify training opportunities and recommend solutions.
- Track attendance, engagement, and learning outcomes.
- Support onboarding, technical upskilling, and professional development initiatives.
- Stay current on industry best practices, code changes, and emerging technologies.
- Promote Amteck's culture of safety, accountability, and continuous learning.
