Perform all aspects of testing and maintenance of electrical power distribution systems. This includes troubleshooting capabilities, simple relay calibration, use of load recording instrumentation, and low and medium voltage switchgear testing through 15 kV class. The role involves testing and troubleshooting moderately complex electrical systems, simple relay systems, and power metering. There may be opportunities to perform simple power system studies, including short circuit and protective device coordination. The technician will be responsible for writing complete, detailed reports promptly at the end of each project using a computer, and accurately processing job billing. Additionally, the role may involve complex analysis and evaluative tasks for equipment labeling projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, local requirements, and company procedures. A key aspect of this position is to take an active role in business development and expansion, including performing functions related to written job proposals, such as estimating man-hours and expenses, and developing scope and pricing.
