Perform all aspects of testing and maintenance of electrical power distribution systems. This includes troubleshooting capabilities, simple relay calibration, use of load recording instrumentation, and low and medium voltage switchgear testing through 15 kV class. The role involves testing and troubleshooting moderately complex electrical systems, simple relay systems, and power metering. It may also include performing simple power system studies such as short circuit and protective device coordination. A key responsibility is to write complete, detailed reports promptly at the end of each project using a computer and accurately process job billing. The technician may also perform complex analysis and evaluative tasks for equipment labeling projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, local requirements, and Company procedures. Additionally, the role requires taking an active part in business development and expansion, including performing all functions related to written job proposals, such as estimating man-hours and expenses, and developing scope and pricing.
