About The Position

TTM Technologies, Inc. is a leading global manufacturer of technology products, including mission systems, radio frequency (“RF”) components, RF microwave/microelectronic assemblies, and technologically advanced printed circuit boards (“PCB”s). TTM stands for time-to-market, representing how TTM's time-critical, one-stop design, engineering and manufacturing services enable customers to reduce the time required to develop new products and bring them to market. This position is eligible for a 90 Day Evaluation that includes a pay increase if key performance indicators are met. The incumbent must be able to train on first shift. Hours for this position will be 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. This position is located at 6457 Fly Rd. East Syracuse, NY. An Electrical Test Operator will operate multiple flying probe machines that test the boards for electrical defects. The electrical test department is also responsible for TDR and High Potential Leakage (HiPot) testing.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Ability to stand for the duration of shift
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, customer specifications, and procedures
  • Basic math, problem solving, interpersonal skills, and computer skills
  • Must possess interpersonal, problem solving, and communication skills
  • Follow all safety measures
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC

Nice To Haves

  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred
  • Previous PCB experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Gather necessary information and testing parameters for production
  • Enter information and test parameters into manufacturing equipment/system
  • Operate the machines that test boards for electrical defects, to include start-up and operation
  • Set up jobs
  • De-bug defects and identify potential scrap codes for defects
  • Identify passing and failing parts
  • Stamp printed circuit boards (PCBs)
  • Retrieve programs from back up
  • Complete self-correction sheets
  • Find defects such as continuity (opens) and isolations (shorts)
  • Complete test and associated test certificates
  • Follow all departmental process procedures correctly
  • Complete all departmental documentation accurately
  • Complete quality checks when product arrives in and exits the department
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management and cross-train as needed to assist production
