About The Position

Beyond New Horizons (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Test Controller supporting TOS II, at Arnold AFB Tennessee. The selected candidate will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for operating and maintaining or supporting the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts. The selected candidate for this requisition must be available to work any shift, and shift determination will be made based on the priority of work at the time the selected candidate is cleared to report to work.

Requirements

  • Must possess High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Four years of experience as an Electrician, or 4 years of progressive experience in the electrician trade may be substituted for the required experience.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance and satisfy requirements for access to the AEDC local area network.
  • Current U.S. Citizenship is required due to Department of Defense security and federal contract requirements at AEDC.

Nice To Haves

  • Active Secret Security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Safe, Reliable, and Effective Operations (SREO), of installation and maintenance of test/plant equipment/systems.
  • Pursue and obtain all qualifications assigned and demonstrate satisfactory progress as measured by two quarterly process assessments based on syllabus completion, body of knowledge testing and tunnel conditions OJT as an ETF Plant Control Room Operator.
  • Start/stop and configure systems (motor/compressor, valves, heaters, coolers) as required.
  • Monitor systems health.
  • Initiate appropriate response to alarms/trips.
  • Coordinate and communicate operations with others as necessary.
  • Coordinate with Test/Plant Control Room Operation Engineers, Supervision, Engineering Support and Base Utilities.
  • Direct and perform a wide variety of technical, mechanical, electrical, and manual work in the Control Room, Testing, Operating, and/or assembly and shop areas of an Engineering Test Facility.
  • Checks out and prepares Plant Facility equipment for operations.
  • Operates Plant equipment.
  • Accomplishes maintenance and servicing work as required to place and keep such equipment in operation.
  • Operates complex testing equipment.
  • Operates complex testing equipment, and troubleshoots operating equipment or test articles, and installation in case of malfunction, with a high degree of skill.
  • Perform all Electrical duties as assigned.
  • Use a wide variety of hand and machine tools, powered equipment, complex measuring and test equipment as required to accomplish the operations.
  • Train, instruct, and direct other craftsmen(s).
  • Wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
  • Perform other duties as required.
