About The Position

Crestline Coach, a leading ambulance and bus manufacturer, is seeking an Electrical Technologist to join their Engineering team in Saskatoon. This role involves supporting the design, development, and integration of electrical systems for ambulances and specialty vehicles. The technologist will be responsible for creating and maintaining electrical schematics, wire harnesses, and embedded vehicle systems, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, OEM standards, and regulatory guidelines. The position requires cross-functional collaboration with various departments to develop robust, manufacturable, and serviceable electrical systems that drive innovation, efficiency, and product quality.

Requirements

  • Collaborate with engineers and internal teams to create and maintain robust electrical designs, schematics, and wire harnesses that meet Crestline engineering standards, customer requirements, OEM chassis specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the design and integration of 12 VDC and 120/240VAC electrical systems while ensuring adherence to applicable electrical standards and best practices.
  • Assist in the development and standardization of electrical components and wire harnesses to improve production efficiency and lead times.
  • Program embedded systems and support vehicle electrical functionality.
  • Coordinate and incorporate feedback from customers, suppliers, Production, and Quality teams to continuously improve product quality, manufacturability, delivery performance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles to optimize processes, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Support troubleshooting and resolution of production and service-related electrical issues.
  • Assist with compliance testing, certification activities, and engineering validation.
  • Analyze Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) metrics to identify opportunities for product and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure production efficiency and product reliability are considered throughout the design process.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and support engineering change management activities.
