About The Position

The Tepa Companies are seeking an Electrical Engineer who will perform and oversee engineering designs of all types of electrical infrastructure and facilities on Tinker AFB. This role involves providing electrical technical and engineering support in the design of building systems including Power, Lighting, Grounding, and Lightning protection. The engineer will also provide support in engineering evaluations and recommendations for improvements, conduct in-depth assessments and cost estimates for electrical projects, and design electrical systems based on DOD/Tinker AFB specifications. Additionally, the role includes providing technical reviews of Submittals, Requests for Information, and internal design drawings, participating in final on-site inspections, supporting other disciplines as needed, and providing support to the Damage Assessment Team (DAT) program. The position also entails performing other duties and special projects as assigned. An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related degree from an ABET-accredited program
  • 10+ years of experience in general electrical design of buildings/infrastructure
  • Licensed Professional Engineer
  • Willing to submit to a background check
  • Knowledge of the Internal Building Code, NFPA Life Safety Code, ASCE 7, ACI Standards, AISC Standards, and Unified Facilities Criteria
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project Schedule) and AutoCAD
  • Strong knowledge of codes and good planning skills

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of design for Department of Defense facilities

Responsibilities
