About The Position

KBR is looking for an Electrical Technician to execute maintenance activities focused on preventive and predictive maintenance plans, as well as the efficient and effective development of breakdown maintenance on electrical systems, equipment, and facilities within their area of influence. This role requires applying the best and safest maintenance practices.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of maintaining and repairing Electrical systems.
  • Good knowledge in Electrical equipment design, installation, and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of maintaining and repairing Mechanical and electro-hydraulic systems.
  • Good knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance principles and working procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of standards, procedures, and regulations to develop activities while considering Health, Safety, and Environmental preservation.
  • Strong communication and people skills.
  • Ability to perform work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Synergic and capable of handling multiple tasks.
  • Good command of oral and written English.
  • High School Diploma holder in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in Oil & Gas maintenance (with High School).
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in Oil & Gas maintenance (with Diploma).
  • Hold a valid certification issued by a recognized third-party certification body or an accredited Saudi institute, attesting to the individual’s qualifications and competency to perform the works.
  • Strong technical understanding of maintenance management of Oil & Gas Facilities.
  • Well organized and proactive with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Execute day-to-day electrical maintenance activities on all electrical systems, plant, equipment, and facilities within the designated area of responsibility.
  • Ensure, comply with, and apply SATORP's Safety and Quality procedures during the execution of electrical maintenance activities.
  • Ensure proper execution of work and check activities engaged in routine maintenance.
  • Carry out repairing and troubleshooting activities on electrical assets in a timely and quality manner to increase the availability and reliability of these systems.
  • Receive work directions from the respective Electrical Supervisor regarding electrical systems maintenance orders/requests.
  • Follow up on electrical maintenance work progress and submit regular progress reports to the respective Electrical Supervisor.
  • Keep a record of daily maintenance works against planned maintenance programs and prepare work completion reports, where applicable.
  • Enforce SATORP’s policies, procedures, and regulations, ensuring all safety measures and precautions are strictly considered and taken during maintenance works.
  • Perform Preventive maintenance in HV and LV switchgear and control gears, including testing of electronic protection relays, power circuit breakers, busbars, contactors, and ATS.
  • Perform partial discharge capacitor readings in HV motors.
  • Perform on-line analysis of current signatures of motors.
  • Perform testing on all kinds of transformers.
  • Support switchgear operations in electrical substations when requested.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the respective Electrical Leader.
