Electrical Technician (3rd Shift Sun - Thur 10:15 PM - 6:30 AM)
About The Position
This position is responsible for a wide range of electrical duties involving the installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of the electrical control systems for production, shop, and extrusion. Top priority and the primary emphasis are troubleshooting and assisting in the proper operation of production machinery. The Electrical Technician must be willing to devote whatever effort is necessary to keeping production machinery operational. This position works closely with production and engineering team members in the building and maintenance of machine control systems. This position encourages creative thinking to maintain internal systems at the cutting edge of control and computer technology.
Requirements
- 2-year degree in Electrical Technology or equivalent experience in Electrical Technology field
- Proficient with electrical troubleshooting and repair
- Proficient with electrical wiring

- Experience in wiring protocols
- Experience with programming of variable frequency drives and servo amplifiers
- Ability to analyze problems, assess multiple options and provide clear recommendations

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering and production.
- Responsible for mounting of electrical components and wiring in machine control cabinets and on machines
- Meet and support production needs via technical solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in a timely manner
- Analyze, track, and remediate root causes of problems, and determine preventative solutions.
- Participate in the design of any integration related to production or business needs.
- Follows good manufacturing practices to ensure product safety.
- Assist in other plant operations as may be required.
- Perform special or other projects or tasks as directed.
- Understand and complies with requirements regarding customer and PI confidentiality.
