About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking an Electrical Technician for the 2nd shift in Greenwood, SC. The starting rate for this position is $27.00 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential. The core hours are Monday through Thursday from 3:00 pm until 1:00 am. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in power distribution or electrical distribution.
  • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting complex electrical circuits.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Candidates must live within a fifty-mile radius of the Greenwood, SC facility.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Technology, Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • At least one (1) year of experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
  • Previous experience working with open and energized electrical equipment in a testing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for final inspection and functional testing of Eaton products to ensure quality and compliance prior to shipment.
  • Develop and execute test plans, conduct electrical and electronic testing, and inspect components and connections across a wide range of products, including structures, units, panels, panelboards, controls, and assemblies.
  • Confirm proper functionality, diagnose and resolve issues, and document or complete required repairs.
  • Interpret and follow verbal and written instructions, drawings, and specifications to set up, inspect, and test equipment.
  • Perform mechanical, electrical, insulation, and sequence testing; inspect panels, assemblies, and components to verify quality and functionality.
  • Troubleshoot test failures, determine root causes, and collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and supervisory teams on corrective actions.
  • Validate customer orders for accuracy and completeness; support customer inspectors during testing and inspection processes.
  • Recommend and assist with improvements to assembly, wiring, calibration, and testing methods; ensure required changes and repairs are completed.
  • Maintain test equipment, calibration status, test documentation, and inspection records.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines, PPE requirements, hygiene standards, and housekeeping practices.
