The Electrical Technician will monitor the process in the area of responsibility to ensure equipment and control parameters are functioning as designed. The goal is to ensure the process is operated in a safe and efficient manner. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing electrical equipment and systems, installing electrical equipment and control devices/circuits, and running electrical conduit, cable tray with associated fittings and wiring. The technician will also calibrate protective relays and transducers, troubleshoot and program various V.F.D.s, and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions in various laboratory equipment. The position requires working outside normal shift hours as needed and maintaining regular and reliable attendance. Adherence to all company policies and procedures, including ISO, personnel, quality, environmental, health, safety, regulatory, and company requirements, is mandatory. The role also includes compliance with NTG (Nothing Touching the Ground) requirements, including daily audits, and active participation in Operation Clean Sweep to ensure employees are aware of and accountable for pellet loss prevention, containment, cleanup, and disposal. Other tasks and duties assigned by the Supervisor may involve performing tests and PM on specific equipment such as 480V, 4160V and 13.8KV SWGR, 13.8KV Capacitor Banks, 13.8/4.16KV and 13.8KV/480V Transformers, 1000 HP 500V DC Motor and Controller, 4160V and 480V MCC, UPS System, and 480V, 4160V and 13.8KV Motors.
