Electrical Technician II’s are responsible for wiring PC boards, controls, switches, and various other electrical assemblies from schematics, layout diagrams, and written specifications. This role requires the ability to identify and properly wire general utility circuits and their components, lay out, bend, and install conduit, identify and pull wire and cable, and properly terminate a variety of electrical components. The technician will also be responsible for troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical or mechanical malfunctions and making necessary repairs. A strong understanding of electrical theory and codes, including NEC and MSHA, is essential, as is the ability to read and interpret various electrical and mechanical prints. The role involves the safe operation of various hand and power tools, as well as electrical testing equipment and material handling equipment like overhead cranes and forklifts. Maintaining a safe and clean work area, adhering to safety programs, and consistent job attendance are also key responsibilities.
