About The Position

Under general supervision, the Electrical Technician I is responsible for electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics. This role involves installing and replacing lightbulbs, performing breaker resets, ballast and electrical wiring, and inspecting and maintaining primary service installations and power distribution systems. The technician must follow basic electrical safety practices, such as lockout/tagout procedures, and complete work orders and related paperwork. Duties are performed in accordance with departmental and regulatory safety procedures and standards.

Requirements

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of predictive and preventative electrical maintenance functions
• Knowledge of electrical machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
• Proficient computer skills are required
• 0-5 years experience performing basic electrical repair and installation
• Ability to properly use of hand and power tools
• Ability to perform electrical troubleshooting, install lighting
• Ability to prepare, install and connect electrical wiring

Nice To Haves

• Journeyman Electrician certification is highly preferred
• AutoCAD experience a plus
