Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must pass aptitude test.

Responsibilities

  • Learn to install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers.
  • Learn to connect power supply wires to machines and equipment and connect cables and wires between machines and equipment.
  • Will learn to diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replace damaged or broken wires and cables.
  • Learn to test malfunctioning machinery and discuss malfunction with other personnel from other affected departments including production, maintenance and tool room.
  • Learn to replace faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors, and positions sensing devices.
  • Learn to diagnose and repair or replace faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards.
  • Learn to replace electric motor bearings and how to rewire motors.
  • Learn how to install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.
  • Will learn how to diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
  • Performs all duties and operates machinery & equipment according to MIOSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment (gloves, sleeves, ear plugs, etc.).
  • Punctual and regular attendance is required.
  • Able and willing to work any shift assigned.
  • Able to travel up to 50%
  • Keeps work area clean and orderly.
