About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Entry Level Electrical Tech to join our Fibrebond team in Minden, LA! You will work an average of 54 hours per week (including OT) between 6 am - 4:30 pm. The hourly range for this position is $18.15 - $20.57 per hour. The entry level Electrical Technician begins in Electrical Prefab learning basic electrical parts and safety. You will be introduced to both hand and power tools. Basic math skills must be demonstrated as well as a high attention to detail. You must be able to work in a manufacturing environment on your feet all day while you shadow and assist within established electrical crews. You will be expected to gain knowledge in blueprint reading and train on beginning electrical skills such as installation of conduit and electrical components. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.

  • Basic shop math skills and the ability to read and use a tape measure.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints.
  • Must possess a strong, verifiable track record of attendance and punctuality.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of trade secrets.
  • Energetic and willing to follow established policies and procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Some electrical experience in a construction or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with hand and power tools.
