About The Position

Ford Racing is seeking an independent, empowered, and passionate Electrical Systems Integration Engineer to be the technical glue that holds their vehicle programs together. This role will lead the pre-design, design, and launch phases of current and future Ford Racing programs, ensuring the "Ford Racing DNA" is woven into every electrical circuit and system built. The Product Development team uses design thinking & user experience methods to deliver breakthrough products and services that delight customers, bringing innovative, exciting, and sustainable ideas to life. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-7+ years of experience in automotive electrical systems.
• Experience in new vehicle launch environments.
• Proficiency with Ford engineering tools and processes (GPDS, FEDE, WERS, AIMS, DFMEA).
• Technical experience with CAN tools (CAN log collection, module software flashing, Bus Queries, VSCS, or Novellus Data Logger).

• Proven ability to handle complex tasks under compressed "racing-speed" timelines.
• Strong "Ford OS" leadership behaviors with the ability to build relationships across multi-functional teams (Studio, Purchasing, Body Engineering, and Vehicle Operations).

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of Ford Racing-specific electrical content, coordinating technical reviews between component and EDS (Electrical Distribution System) engineers to ensure total system integrity.
• Survey engineers for electrical interfaces and ensure device transmittals are accurately populated in VSEM to support EDS wiring development.
• Build Design Verification (DV) requirements for system-level functions and perform rigorous validation testing to ensure product compliance.
• Support vehicle builds onsite at assembly plants, represent the electrical team on evaluation drives, and manage BOM sign-offs for pre-production events.
• Root cause and resolve electrical issues as they arise, utilizing breadboards, CAN tools, and data logging to troubleshoot modules and systems.
• Manage Full Service Suppliers (FSS) and internal/external resources to deliver programs on time and to performance targets.
• Utilize Ford’s engineering suite (FEDE, WERS, AIMS, JIRA, 5/8Ds, QUIP, eCATs) to manage deliverables throughout the GPDS lifecycle.
