Electrical Supervisor- (Temporary)(Caldwell County)
About The Position
This is a temporary position located in 3205 Friendly Park Road Lenoir- Caldwell County with the Department of Adult Correction (DAC). The NCDAC / Support Services / Division of Engineering, Construction, and Maintenance (DECM) is recruiting for an energized and collaborative Electrical Supervisor to be a part of the Mountain Region Maintenance Team. This position will have a duty station at the Mountain Region Maintenance Yard in Lenoir, NC. The primary purpose of this position is to supervise and carry on the work to its completion. The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for the planning and supervision of trenching, conduit installations, wire pulling, installation and termination of cameras inside prison facilities and outside the institution’s perimeter as well. Work assignments result from discussions or written instructions from a superior and are in terms of objectives to be accomplished. Blueprints may accompany large installation jobs; however, the employee is expected to plan, layout, draw complementary sketches, and monitor the work of subordinates. Work is reviewed upon completion for adherence to established trade practices and safety standards and is further evaluated based on continued and efficient operation of repaired systems and installations.
Requirements
- High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and three years of journey level electrical experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be fully qualified for the job.
- Individuals hired into a temporary State job must be fully qualified for the job.
