Learn how this opportunity will allow you to grow your skills while helping deliver safe, high-quality products that make a difference for our customers, communities, and planet: The Electrical Supervisor/Lead Electrician leads the electrical function to maximize equipment reliability, efficiency, and plant performance through preventative maintenance, continuous improvement, and technical problem solving. This role provides critical support to manufacturing operations, ensuring electrical systems operate safely and effectively while developing team capability and maintaining compliance with safety requirements.

Requirements

  • Electrical trade qualification.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with PLC control systems and programming.
  • Knowledge of Rockwell Automation and Allen-Bradley products and software.
  • Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good mathematical and numerical aptitude.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and electrical documentation.
  • Commitment to safe working practices, team development, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, hygiene, and housekeeping requirements.
  • Maintain electrical equipment in safe working order through effective corrective and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Lead rapid response activities to minimize downtime and reduce equipment stoppages through proactive problem solving.
  • Drive root cause analysis and long-term solutions for recurring operational and equipment issues.
  • Investigate repetitive downtime trends using plant and database systems to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Provide 24/7 support to manufacturing operations, including out-of-hours assistance when required.
  • Manage electrical team resources, staffing, training, apprentice development, absences, and holiday coverage.
  • Control departmental budgets, evaluate quotations, and oversee electrical contractor performance.
  • Support engineering projects from initiation through completion while ensuring risk assessments are maintained.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve plant objectives.
