About The Position

Skillforce is seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent for industrial projects, including solar fields and mining. This role requires significant travel to project sites located in OH, PA, MD, and VA. The ideal candidate will reside in one of these states and be open to extensive travel. The position involves overseeing all on-site electrical construction activities, managing teams, and ensuring project success from start to finish.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of field supervision experience required.
  • 8+ years of industrial electrical experience.
  • Experience with Procore, or similar software.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and safety regulations.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage crews effectively.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Background check, drug screen, and MVR required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all on-site electrical construction activities from mobilization through project closeout.
  • Lead and manage electrical foremen, crews, and subcontractors to ensure productivity, safety, and quality standards are met.
  • Develop and maintain short-term and long-term look-ahead schedules to anticipate labor, material, and equipment needs.
  • Conduct regular on-site walkthroughs to monitor progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions proactively.
  • Track and report daily production, manpower, and progress against the project schedule.
  • Review, approve, and manage timecards to ensure accurate labor tracking and cost control.
  • Coordinate with project managers, general superintendents, and other trades to support overall project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies, site-specific requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in project planning meetings and provide input on sequencing, constructability, and risk mitigation.
  • Identify potential challenges early and develop solutions to maintain schedule and budget performance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including daily reports, progress reports, and tracking logs.
  • Support quality control efforts and ensure work is performed per drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
