The Superintendent is responsible for all field employees on the project. This role involves performing working estimates and take-offs jointly with the Project Manager, laying out work for the Lead Person, and ensuring materials, tools, equipment, information, and employee requirements are on the jobsite in a timely manner according to schedule and man-loading charts. The Superintendent will handle office correspondence and forms, including daily reports, time sheets, safety reports, and accident reports. This individual will monitor work progress, direct the crew, and schedule work according to the job's pace and coordination with other trades. The Superintendent effectively utilizes management skills in directing foremen and crew, and coordinating crew activities within the scope of their duties.
