About The Position

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical is seeking a full-time Electrical Superintendent-Data Center in Pecos, Texas. This position requires candidates to be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without current or future need for employer sponsorship. The role involves planning, supervising, and directing personnel in the installation of electrical systems to ensure work is performed safely, on schedule, and within budget. A strong emphasis is placed on maintaining a culture of safety and quality, understanding project designs, drawings, specifications, and installation requirements. The Electrical Superintendent will collaborate with the Project Management Team on material and equipment buyouts, schedules, labor, and tracking. This role also includes monitoring the quality of workmanship, ensuring compliance with project and company standards, evaluating, mentoring, and training field supervision and tradesmen, and performing takeoffs and pricing for change orders and project-related work. Additionally, the position requires evaluating productivity and schedules to make necessary adjustments for optimal efficiency.

Requirements

  • Current State Electrical Journeyman License or 4 year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or licensed journeyman experience.
  • 10+ years experience in electrical construction supervision, technology, methods, equipment, tools, and work procedures.
  • Experience working with technical industrial, Pharmaceutical, or Data Center environments.
  • OSHA 30 or ability to obtain
  • Understanding of construction and labor scheduling, cost control, and ability to control and supervise large groups.
  • Ability to perform takeoffs and pricing for changes orders and related project work.
  • Excellent computer, communication, organizational, supervisory, and planning skills.
  • Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check, and MVR check.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without current or future need for employer sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Hyperscale data center experience preferred.
  • Experience with $20M-$100M electrical projects preferred.
