About The Position

Begin to build your future at HGA! We have an excellent opportunity for a college or graduate school student for a paid summer internship in summer of 2027. The summer internship is typically 12 weeks in length beginning on or before June 1, 2027, through mid-August (depending on your schedule). HGA is a full-service planning and design firm of over 1,000 professionals offering planning, engineering, architecture and interior design services in 12 offices. Requirements

Pursuing a degree in Architectural Engineering (with an emphasis in electrical systems) or Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
Entering your junior year or above of an undergraduate program, or currently enrolled in graduate school.
Experience with electrical analysis software such as ETAP, EasyPower, DAPPER, or CAPTOR.
Knowledge of AGi32 and/or Visual Pro.
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with Revit is preferred.
A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assisting with innovative lighting designs that balance aesthetics and technical performance.
Supporting the design of power distribution and lighting systems for commercial, institutional, and healthcare facilities.
Performing electrical engineering calculations and technical analyses.
Researching applicable codes and regulations and coordinating with city, county, and state officials.
Reviewing reports, drawings, test results, and design documentation.
Utilizing industry-standard engineering and design software to support project delivery.
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on projects from concept through implementation.
