About The Position

The Electrical Sr. Engineer will support the Power Uprate Project at Beaver Valley. The role frequently works independently to identify and perform tasks that meet Vistra objectives, and supports gathering and analyzing information for company initiatives or complex problem-solving. The engineer will develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and external parties.

The position leads analysis of complex issues, coordinates assigned projects and studies through completion, and prepares and presents reports with recommendations. It also requires compliance with safety policies and procedures and participation in—and occasionally leadership of—special projects and committees, including those involving external organizations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited program; Electrical Engineering is preferred.
• A minimum of 6 years of relevant job experience is ideal.
• Teamwork and collaboration skills across organizational boundaries.
• Ability to communicate complex issues effectively in writing and verbally.
• Ability to influence by establishing effective working relationships across organizational boundaries.
• In-depth understanding of power plant equipment and system interrelationships.
• Ability to evaluate technical alternatives in light of their economic contribution to the business.
• Ability to apply systematic problem-solving processes to address complex issues.

Nice To Haves

• Electrical Engineering degree is preferred.
