Electrical Simulation Engineer

Infotree Global SolutionsWebster, MA

About The Position

The Electrical Simulation and Analysis Engineer is responsible for performing and documenting advanced analysis of complex electronic circuits. This role focuses on creating precise simulation models for both analog and digital components, developing automation scripts for modeling workflows, and solving complex technical hardware issues using simulation methodology. Beyond individual technical contributions, the successful candidate will act as a subject matter expert, taking ownership of simulation tools/methods, actively participating in design reviews, and mentoring/training other engineers to elevate the organization's simulation capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electronics Engineering or a related field
  • Very good, comprehensive knowledge of electronic components and diverse types of electronic circuits, both analog and digital
  • Strong skills in electronic component modeling and circuit simulation principles using formats such as SPICE, VHDL, IBIS, and S-parameters
  • Practical knowledge of industry-standard simulators and analytical tools, such as: Circuit/Analytical: LTSpice, Xpedition AMS, Mathcad, Maple; High-Speed / EM / Physics: HyperLynx, Ansys Electronics Desktop (HFSS/SIwave)
  • Deep specialization in at least one specific simulation type, combined with baseline/basic skills in other types, including WCCA (Worst Case Circuit Analysis), Transients, PI (Power Integrity), SI (Signal Integrity), or EM (Electromagnetic)
  • Good level of technical English for documentation and international collaboration
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively transfer knowledge, mentor junior team members, and articulate technical findings clearly.

Nice To Haves

  • Master of Science (MSc)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a position directly related to the simulation of electronic circuits or a highly similar R&D role
  • Proven track record of successfully solving complex technical problems through engineering analysis
  • Demonstrated experience in training, knowledge transfer, and skills development within an engineering environment

Responsibilities

  • Perform and thoroughly document complex electronic circuit simulations to validate hardware designs.
  • Create high-fidelity simulation models of complex electronic components and integrated circuits.
  • Prepare and maintain automation scripts to optimize modeling, simulation workflows, and data analysis.
  • Leverage simulation tools to diagnose, root-cause, and solve complex hardware and technical anomalies.
  • Actively participate in hardware design reviews, providing simulation-driven insights and recommendations to engineering teams.
  • Take full responsibility for managing, updating, and documenting resources related to global simulation tools and standardized methods.
  • Support active engineering programs and mentor hardware engineers in the effective application of modeling and simulation.
  • Design, develop, and deliver technical training sessions related to internal simulation tools and best practices.
