Rio Marine is expanding and seeking an Electrical Service Technician Level II. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50lbs for extended distances.
  • Ability to work in all adverse weather conditions.
  • Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and gangways up to twenty-five feet in height.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch and work above head for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to operate Rio Marine vehicles in a safe and courteous manner.
  • Must be capable of acquiring valid TWIC.
  • Must have a valid driver license.
  • Must have a clean driving record with no DWI convictions.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.
  • Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test.
  • Previous experience in the electrical service industry.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Professional manner in dealing with other employees, management, and customers.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Basic mechanical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing all levels of electrical circuits, including 3 phase motors, generators and switchboards, motor starters and start/stops, steering systems, alarms/automation, Xenox fixtures, and grounding systems.
  • Using a multi-meter, amp meter, and megger.
  • Terminating most common types of electrical equipment.
  • Reading all types of prints.
  • Performing routine maintenance and repairs to pumps.
  • Supervising and training tech level III.
  • Assisting in managing projects as assigned.
  • Being on-call for a seven-day period.
  • Traveling occasionally for the company to work at other locations.
  • Following all of Rio Marine’s safety and operational policies.
  • Performing any other duties as needed or directed by management as it relates to Rio Marine Inc. Operations.
  • Working overtime as required, as Rio Marine is a 24/7 operation.
