About The Position

We are looking for an Electrical Project Manager with a background in electrical engineering, power systems, and construction project management to lead capital projects from concept through commissioning and closeout. You will manage the full project lifecycle ("cradle to grave") for electrical infrastructure projects supporting power generation facilities, renewable energy assets, and major capital improvement projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience within utility, power generation, industrial, energy, or oil and gas environments.
  • 2+ years of project management experience leading capital projects.
  • Experience managing electrical infrastructure projects involving transformers, protection systems, motors, switchgear, substations, or power distribution equipment.
  • Experience with electrical construction practices, commissioning, and project execution.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

  • Manage capital engineering projects from initiation through completion.
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and execution plans.
  • Lead project teams and coordinate activities with operations, maintenance, engineering, sourcing, and project controls.
  • Oversee engineering design reviews and ensure technical requirements are met.
  • Manage procurement activities, including engineering consultants, contractors, equipment vendors, and material purchases.
  • Coordinate construction activities and conduct field visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, contract requirements, and regulatory obligations.
  • Support commissioning, startup, and turnover activities for electrical systems and equipment.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, test reports, and project documentation.
  • Conduct vendor inspections, factory acceptance testing (FAT), and witness equipment testing.
  • Manage project issues, and team member expectations throughout project execution.
  • Lead project closeout activities and transition completed projects to operations.
