About The Position

Stronghold Engineering, Inc. is seeking a driven Electrical Project Manager to lead the electrical portion of commercial and industrial construction projects. This role primarily works out of the Corporate Office in Perris, CA, and will focus on one project at a time, with the potential to manage multiple projects. The Project Manager will be responsible for project budgets, negotiating change orders, coordinating subcontractors and material deliveries, and acting as a liaison between field teams, clients, and vendors. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of electrical project management experience and a passion for successful project completion.

Requirements

Minimum five (5) years of experience as an Electrical Project Manager or in a comparable project management role with an electrical contractor in the commercial and industrial sector.
Knowledge of electrical building systems, design, construction, and related management strategies.
Experience selecting and managing vendors.
Skilled at summarizing and analyzing information for budgeting revenues and expenses.
Ability to lead a project team and manage subcontractors.
Ability to establish priorities and follow through on projects, paying close attention to detail with minimal supervision.
Able to work in a productive manner independently and with others in a team environment.
Ability to read, interpret, and apply electrical plans, specifications, and single-line diagrams.
Excellent computer skills and proficient knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project and other project management software programs.
Proficiency in Bluebeam and Microsoft Excel required.

Responsibilities

Manage multiple construction projects simultaneously.
Develop and maintain project budgets and hold full financial responsibility for assigned work.
Identify change order opportunities from field conditions, drawing revisions, and RFI responses, then price, negotiate, and execute.
Assist with the sourcing, tracking, and delivery of key electrical materials, equipment, switchgear, and other components needed to keep projects moving efficiently.
Coordinate material deliveries and subcontractor work in accordance with the contract schedule and monitor changes during the project to adjust deliveries and subcontractors work schedules as necessary.
Process monthly billings by working with the Superintendent for each project to determine percentage of work complete.
Ensure that submittals are submitted, received, corrected, approved, and returned to the subcontractors in a timely manner.
Study and understand the contract specifications, drawings, and associated scope of work requirements for each project before the project begins and during construction operations.
Maintain organized documentations, specifications, estimates, submittals, and contract drawings for each project.
Make effective use of database, spreadsheet, and word-processing software to prepare statistical and written reports for management.
Competently analyze and prioritize information to make appropriate recommendations.
Oversee, motivate, and evaluate field employees; provide or coordinate staff training; work with employees to correct deficiencies.
Make recommendations and assist in the hiring process for field employees. Make recommendations for termination of field employees as needed.
Prepare letters, reports, and memorandums between Stronghold Engineering, Inc. and the government, engineers, architects, and subcontractors.
Act as a liaison and representative between Stronghold Engineering, Inc. and governmental agencies or other Stronghold clients and their personnel.
Assist the Project Superintendent in maintaining good customer and subcontractor relations.
Assist the Project Superintendent with proper communications between the field and the office.
Monitor and ensure adherence to all Stronghold Engineering, Inc., local, state, and federal safety regulations at company job sites.
