About The Position

DWS ENERGY Founded in 2014, DWS Energy is a rapidly expanding, multi-disciplinary electrical construction company focused on commercial and utility-scale solar and battery storage (new construction and operations & maintenance), building controls wiring, and electrical pre-fabrication solutions in our UL-508A certified panel shop. The organization has expanded its service offerings throughout its tenure and continues to grow at an accelerated rate. The Project Manager – Electrical role is responsible for overseeing and managing electrical control projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Requirements

  • Construction industry experience is preferred.
  • At least 2+ years in Project Management Role and 3+ years in the controls industry.
  • Advanced understanding of HVAC control systems.
  • Ability to analyze control system drawings and schematics.
  • Knowledge of contract law, codes, standards, and industry construction knowledge.
  • Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Solid understanding of safety regulations, OSHA standards, and industry best practices for construction and electrical projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, evaluate options, and implement effective solutions.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • OSHA 30 required. (Must be completed within 6 months)

Nice To Haves

  • PLCs, HMI, and SCADA are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage electrical control projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Prepares project billing, revenue forecasts, and schedules of values
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and construction, to ensure project success.
  • Oversee the design, installation, and commissioning of electrical control systems.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Review contracts, project scope, drawings, specifications, schedules, and other project documents to understand company obligations and deliverables.
  • Drive change orders, including identifying scope changes, preparing pricing, submitting proposals, tracking approvals, and ensuring approved changes are properly incorporated.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate project punch list, commissioning, turnover, and closeout requirements with project team.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project team members.
