About The Position

The effective and successful Electrical Project Manager at D/E/F Services Group, Ltd is highly skilled and has the ability to effectively manage several projects, including several phases within a single project at the same time. The D/E/F Services Group Electrical Project Manager has a passion for teamwork and the combined success of the entire team, company, and all stakeholders involved in a specific project. The Electrical Project manager is a knowledgeable professional within the electrical field with a strong understanding of the entire construction process with a proven ability to delegate, lead, and execute at the most crucial moments, leading to the successful completion of the assigned project.

Requirements

  • Possess excellent organizational skills with an ability to carry out logical problem solving.
  • Have a strong understanding of various electrical skills and components that allows for open educated dialogue with field staff, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and able to consistently follow written processes and procedures.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Ability to stand, lift, maneuver weights that may exceed 50lbs.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Must maintain an Active Connecticut E1 or E2 Electrical Journeyperson’s License.
  • Active Driver’s License is required.
  • 5+ years of Project Manager experience managing a range of commercial projects as a Project Manager single or multiple trades.
  • Experience managing a crew size of 25+ on commercial construction projects, required.
  • Basis computer skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Excellent mathematical skills are preferred.
  • Current OSHA Certification is preferred.
  • Experience working on and managing larger commercial construction projects exceeding $1 million in value, preferred.
  • Experience managing multiple commercial construction projects, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Understand the unique goals of each project, and execute a management strategy that aligns with the most efficient achievement of those project goals.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks through self-initiative or by request.
  • Utilize and interpret available blueprints in print or digital form to determine the best strategy for completing an assigned project on-time and under budget.
  • Effectively manage several electrical projects, or several phases within a single project at the same time.
  • Coordinate and liaise with fellow staff, subcontractors, site owners, and general contractors to maximize communication.
  • Assist and accurately compile supporting documentation to generate a request for information, request for change, or potential change order to include labor tasks, budget hours, materials, needed, duration of scope, and potential job delays.
  • Provide timely status reports to supervisors and stakeholders.
  • Effectively mitigate and resolve issues that may relate to project schedule, material, staffing, budget, etc.
  • Ensure safety is a priority on the job during all activities on assigned projects.
  • Maintain job-site efficiency by following policies and procedures and reporting possible needed changes to your direct supervisor.
